Kenyans have reacted to the sacking of cabinet secretary for Agriculture Mwangi Kiunjuri. His sacking comes at a time when locusts have invaded Kenya.
Kiunjuri has been for the past week been the butt of every joke after asking Kenyans to take photos of locusts and share them on social media.
‘If you see an insect you suspect to be a locust, take its picture and post on social media and we will tell you if it’s a locust or not.
When we see the photos we will send planes to help attack them early in the morning before they start their destruction’s.’
Kiunjuri has been excluded from the new cabinet which now comprises of
CS Raychelle Omamo: Foreign Affairs,
Sicily Kariuki: Water and Sanitation.
Ukur Yatani CS: Treasury.
Monica Juma: Defence.
Below are some of the reactions to Kiunjuri’s sacking
